The Education and Care sector now have National Regulations to abide by. The resources provided will include state and national regulations which link to the Children's (Education and Care) National Regulations.Regulations support legislation and provide details on how to operate or work within the law. For services who do not fit under the National Quality Framework in NSW would need to use the Children (Education and Care Services) Supplementary Provisions Regulation 2004

Law - Food Safety Standards Australia

The Food Safety Standards are to provide an effective and nationally uniform food safety legislation for Australia. Chapter 3 which is for Australia only is displayed in the link.

Regulations - National Quality Standard

The National Quality Standard have been embedded in the Education and Care Services National Regulations. They consist of seven quality areas that all services under the National Quality Framework must abide by. The standards are linked with a national quality rating and assessment process which can be viewed here at ACECQA.

Regulations- Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011

These new Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011 replace Occupational Health and Safety (safety standards) Regulations 1994. There is also a new Code of Practice 2011 which replaces the Code of Practice 2008.

Childrens Education and Care Services National Regulation

All Australian Governments agreed to the new National Quality Framework in December 2009. This included a new National Law and a new Education and Care Services National Regulation. The new regulation does not incorporate Occasional Care or Mobile Services but does include School Age Care, Long Day Care, Preschool and Family Day care.
