One of the 3 elements of the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time, Our Place framework is Partnerships, this link to ACECQA provides educators of the importance in collaborating with families. This resource focuses on Quality Area 6 Building relationships

Another valuable resource comes from the Victorian Government where they developed the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework, this is where the Early Years Learning Framework was developed from. It is specifically about building partnerships with families and alsothou it is linking to the Victorian EYLF you will read in the word document information that will support and help you with building relationships with families. QA 6 Communities

Sometimes it is difficult to know who is in your community and yet it is important so we know where to start when looking at providing a sense of belonging for visitors. It is expected that services will read the enrolment form to read the specific information about a child and their family and the community they belong to. There are times when the enrolment form has been completed with brief information and families don't always display their culture or religion. To assist services to be aware of their immediate communities is to use the Australian Bureau Statistics (ABS), all you need to do is type your area and you will be provided with valuable information about your community.

The Australian Government site indigenous.gov.au has a lot of information including a section regarding Children and Schooling.
