For the first time the education and care services have a National Law that is specific to the sector. The resources provided will link to the law and provide further details regarding it. The National Quality Framework was agreed by the council of Australian Governments and within this is the Children (Education and Care Services National Law Application) Act 2010. There are many other laws that children's services needs to abide by and we will endeavour to provide these.

Law - Child Protection

There are many laws that we must abide by primarily Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act 1998 No 157 is one of many. Others we need to be aware of include: Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 No 51 Child Protection (Offenders Registration) Act 2000 No 42
