Therapeutic Environments

Family and Community Services (FaCS) have introduced the Therapeutic Care Framework. Within this framework are 16 Core Principles to meet individualised needs of children and young people who have been through intense trauma. Vicarious Trauma

Vicarious Trauma is a specific, identifiable and manageable impact that the carers of trauma clients often experience. If left unmanaged this carer specific risk can inadvertently lead to compassion fatigue and reduced work health and safety compliance. Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed care is about learning how to better care for a child or young person who has experienced trauma. Trauma can occur when children or young people have experienced a fire, flood, death, family separations, illness or abuse/neglect.
